Today our homes are more diverse and more individual than ever before. Curtains are one of the major influences in modern interior decoration.

Style is a principle consideration, achieved by a subtle balance between fashion, personal taste and practicality.

There are numerous different styles to choose from some of which are detailed here.

Minimalist, contemporary, post-modern look.

This simple yet stylish design falls beautifully and stacks back neatly, taking up less space than most traditional pleated headings.

Depending on the texture of the fabric the ruffle can either be pulled into shape by separating the two layers of fabric to create a dramatic effect or in the case of a soft voile can fall forward to cause a valance effect.

French Pleat

French pleat is a triple pleated heading which is much used in traditional interiors. The curtain falls into very elegant folds that can be easily dressed and held back with holdbacks or tied back using tiebacks.

Eyelet or Rivet heading is a very modern look where the pole is threaded through the curtain. It has the advantage of stacking back very neatly. The eyelets are available in a range of colours to coordinate with the fabric and other elements in the scheme.

Plissé blinds have many of the advantages of Duette blinds in that they are most unobtrusive when drawn up, they allow optimal light filtration and high energy insulation. The Plissé blind is a single pleat profile with exposed cords through the pleats. The Plissé collection also offers materials in varying degrees of transparency from clear to opaque. Plissé are available in a wide selection of innovative fashionable material qualities including burn out and Jacquard designs with colour co-ordinated profiles and cords.

Roller blinds have been in existence since the 1740’s when they were invented to provide a functional solution to the problem of strong sunlight and privacy. Today, the range and diversity of fabric styles, textures, trims, decorative accessories and colours are endless.
Roller blinds are available with a solar protective coating which reflects and filters sunlight more effectively than conventional fabrics, reducing glare and maintaining a comfortable living environment.

Simple roller blinds with a hint of grey provide an ambiance of understated elegance in this interior.

Duette blinds feature an attractive closed honeycomb structure which conceals the operating cords. They help save energy and give excellent protection against harmful ultraviolet radiation. The layer of air ‘trapped’ in the honeycomb provides highly effective insulation.

Top-down/bottom-up, the top and bottom rails can be moved to allow the blind to be opened from top to bottom or vice versa, thus admitting light into the room. This maintains privacy without losing too much light.

The warm textures and soft tone changes in the slats create a beautiful natural atmosphere.

Sleek and modern vertical blinds in crisp white offer privacy without blocking out the light. The effect is softened by the use of Ribbon Tab Top curtains and muted tones in the soft furnishings.

Soft Furnishing is all about using fabrics to add detail to a scheme, to bring warmth, comfort and a sense of style and individuality to an interior.
